About
Langohr Campground occupies a scenic stretch of Hyalite Canyon just 12 miles south of Bozeman, Montana. The 19-site campground sits at 6,200 feet along Hyalite Creek, with most sites positioned in open meadows fronting the water and others tucked among scattered pine and fir trees. Two ADA-accessible sites are available. The setting provides immediate access to creek fishing for Yellowstone cutthroat, Arctic grayling, and brook trout. Hyalite Reservoir sits 3.5 miles up the road, a 206-acre lake offering boating, canoeing, and additional fishing. The Hyalite Peak Trail begins near the reservoir, climbing 3,450 feet over 7.5 miles past numerous waterfalls to Hyalite Lake and Peak. Bears frequent the area; all food must be stored in approved containers. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. The campground provides vault toilets, potable water, and trash collection. No hookups, showers, or dump station. Average parking spur dimensions are 22 by 60 feet. A group picnic area accommodating up to 50 people is available for day use only.
