About

Lake Walcott State Park sits on the shores of the reservoir created by Minidoka Dam, 11 miles northeast of Rupert in southern Idaho. The campground provides 43 overnight options spread across serviced electric sites, standard tent/RV pads, a group camping area, and two rental cabins. Sites 1-23 offer both 30-amp and 50-amp electrical service, and full hookup sites with water and sewer connections are available. Facilities include flush restrooms with indoor showers, a dump station, fire rings, charcoal grills, and picnic areas. ADA-accessible camping, restrooms, cabin, and trail access are provided. The park borders Minidoka National Wildlife Refuge, offering birding and wildlife viewing opportunities along approximately 5 miles of shoreline. Bank fishing is available year-round, while boat fishing runs April 1 through September 30 in designated areas.
