The campground features 17 camping sites, with 7 available for reservation through Recreation.gov and 10 operating on a first-come, first-served basis. The East side loop is designed to accommodate large RVs and trailers with adequate turnaround space. The campground sits near timberline surrounded by alpine wildflower meadows, offering expansive views north across the Snake River Plain and south into Utah and Nevada. Fishing, kayaking, hiking, and swimming are popular summer activities. Non-motorized boating and floating is allowed on Lake Cleveland, while motorized recreation is limited to system roads and trails. Nearby attractions include the Mt. Harrison fire lookout tower two miles away, Pomerelle ski area with lift-served mountain bike and hiking trails, and Twin Lakes Campground offering equestrian access to the Skyline Trail. The campground is often full on weekends from early July through Labor Day. Winter weather can occur at any time, and campers should come prepared for mountain conditions.
