About

Lake View Campground sits on the shores of Stanley Lake within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, surrounded by lodgepole pine forest with views of 9,860-foot McGowan Peak to the south. The campground has 6 sites including one double site, all available first-come, first-served with no reservations accepted. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring with grate. Vault toilets are provided but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. The nearby Stanley Lake boat ramp offers access for motorized boating, waterskiing, canoeing, and kayaking. The lake supports rainbow, cutthroat, brook, and bull trout fishing. Several hiking trails are accessible from the area including Stanley Lake Trailhead, Elk Mountain Trailhead, and Lady Face Falls. Camping is limited to 10 days within any 30-day period throughout the SNRA. Pets must remain on leash.
