The 151-acre lake provides excellent opportunities for fishing northern pike, bass, walleye, and perch, with a concrete boat ramp available at no charge. The campground features three sets of vault toilets and two hand pumps for drinking water. The Deer Marsh Interpretive Trail, a 3-mile loop, is accessible from the campground's east entrance and winds through pine forests and northern hardwoods along Deer Marsh, with interpretive signs, viewing platforms, and a puncheon bridge crossing a beaver dam. Wildlife viewing opportunities include whitetail deer, black bear, grey wolf, fox, coyote, beaver, fisher, and various bird species.
