About
Perch Lake Campground sits 10 miles south of Sidnaw on the Kenton Ranger District in the eastern half of Ottawa National Forest. This one-loop campground offers 20 drive-in campsites that provide a unique camping experience with many spacious sites featuring direct lake access. Campsites are naturally screened by vegetation, and each includes a picnic table, fire ring, and parking spur. Perch Lake is a 994-acre lake popular with anglers seeking deep woods fishing for northern pike, walleye, crappie, and perch. A concrete boat ramp and dedicated vehicle/trailer parking area sit adjacent to the campground, providing easy lake access for motorized and non-motorized boats. Hannah-Web Lake and Winslow Lake are also located just minutes west for additional fishing opportunities. The campground operates from late May through October, with full services including hand pump drinking water and vault toilets available through mid-October. Reservations are accepted through Recreation.gov from late May through September, with the final weeks of the season operating as first-come, first-served. The campground remains accessible after services end until snow conditions limit access.
