About
Bob Lake Campground is located 18 miles southeast of Ontonagon, Michigan, in the Ontonagon Ranger District of Ottawa National Forest. This peaceful campground features a single loop with 17 campsites spaced among natural vegetation that provides screening between sites. Many sites are situated near the lake, offering scenic views and easy water access.
The campground accommodates tents, trailers, and motorhomes on drive-in sites. Each site is equipped with a wooden picnic table, fire ring, lantern post, and parking spur. Three vault toilets serve the camping loop, one of which is ADA-accessible. Potable drinking water is available from a hand pump located near the campground entrance.
Bob Lake Campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Camping is limited to 14 consecutive nights, with a maximum of eight people and two motorized vehicles per site. Sites can accommodate one RV or camper trailer with two tents, or three tents.
Directions
From Ontonagon, MI: Travel east on M-38 for approximately 20 miles. Turn right (south) onto FH 16 and travel approximately 6 miles. Turn right (west) onto FR 1640 (Pori Road) and travel approximately 2.25 miles. Turn left (south) on FR 1470 and travel approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto FR 1478 and travel approximately 0.8 miles to the campground.
