About

Lake of Three Fires State Park sits on 85 acres in the rolling hills of southwest Iowa near Bedford. The park centers on a small lake offering no-wake boating, fishing for bass and bluegill, and a sandy beach for swimming. Two modern campgrounds provide 50 standard campsites with a mix of electric and non-electric options, while an equestrian campground serves riders with corrals, hitching posts, and holding pens adjacent to over 10 miles of multi-use trails. Facilities include modern restrooms with flush toilets and showers in both campground areas, a trailer dump station, and water hydrants throughout. Pull-through sites accommodate larger RVs up to 126 feet, with electric service available at 15, 20, 30, and 50 amp ratings. Six studio cabins offer heating, AC, microwave, refrigerator, and cooktop but require guests to bring bedding and cookware. The campground is 100% reservable through the Iowa State Parks reservation system. Pets are permitted on leash (6 feet maximum) and cannot be left unattended. Quiet hours run 10:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
