About
Nestled in the heart of Missouri's largest state park, the Outpost Lodging offers eight rustic log cabins for those seeking an outdoor experience with added comfort. Each cabin accommodates up to six guests with two three-quarter beds in the loft and a double futon downstairs. The cabins feature wood-burning stoves, electricity, ceiling fans, air conditioning, supplemental heating, dorm-size refrigerators, and microwaves. While the cabins do not have running water, a modern central restroom and showerhouse with drinking water is conveniently located within walking distance. Each cabin has exterior picnic tables, benches, and a fire grill for outdoor cooking. Guests must bring their own sleeping bags, pillows, cooking utensils, and lanterns. Cabins 2, 4, and 7 participate in the Cabins for Canines Program, allowing up to two dogs. Cabin 8 is ADA accessible. The park offers extensive recreational opportunities including two swimming beaches, boat launches, marinas, hiking trails, and cave tours at Ozark Caverns. A camp store is available near the campground entrance.
