About

Bennett Spring State Park Shelters provide covered day-use facilities for groups in one of Missouri's most popular state parks, known for its trout fishing and spring-fed waters. Two shelters are available for reservation: Shelter A (Spring Shelter), a rustic 1930s CCC-era stone and timber structure near the head of the spring with a fireplace, nine picnic tables, outdoor grill, and vault toilet; and Shelter B (Whistle Bridge Shelter), a larger accessible facility with electricity, flush restrooms, extended-end tables, and a large indoor grill. These are strictly day-use facilities with hours from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. They do not accommodate overnight camping. Reservations can be made online 30 days to 12 months in advance, or by contacting the park directly for dates within 30 days. Water fountains and spigots are available April 15 through October 31. The park surrounding the shelters offers hiking trails, a nature center, dining lodge, and access to Bennett Spring Branch for catch-and-release trout fishing. Campgrounds with overnight sites are located elsewhere in the park for those seeking extended stays.
