About

Lake of the Ozarks State Park Yurt Lodging offers a distinctive glamping experience in Missouri's largest state park. The yurts are circular structures with fabric covers over sturdy wooden frames, situated on elevated wooden platforms with decking and locking doors. Each unit features three large windows and a dome skylight that provides natural light and a view of the stars. Inside, guests will find a futon and bunk bed (sleeping up to five people, maximum six occupants), a dorm-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee table, air conditioner, and heater for year-round comfort. Located in campground sections 1 and 2, the yurts provide a semi-primitive experience without running water inside the units. A modern restroom and showerhouse is within walking distance and operates from April 1 through October 31. During the off-season, vault toilets and water are available near the campground check station. Outside each yurt, guests have a picnic table, fire ring for campfires, and a barbecue grill. Guests must bring their own linens, sleeping bags, lanterns, cooking utensils, and water containers. Open-flame cooking is prohibited inside the yurts, but non-flame devices like griddles and Crock-Pots are permitted. Yurts A and B are ADA accessible and participate in the Cabins for Canines program, allowing up to two dogs with additional fees. Reservations are made by phone with full payment due at booking, and self-check-in is available via a provided code.
