Lake of the Ozarks State Park offers six yurts as an alternative camping experience for visitors who want comfort without traditional tent camping. These circular structures feature fabric covers over sturdy wooden frames and sit on wooden platforms with decking. Each yurt has a locking door, three large windows, and a dome skylight for natural light and views. Inside, yurts are equipped with a futon, bunk bed, coffee table, dorm-size refrigerator, microwave, air conditioner, and heater. The units sleep five people comfortably with a maximum occupancy of six. Guests must bring their own linens, sleeping bags, cooking utensils, and lanterns. Open-flame cooking is prohibited inside, but griddles and Crock-Pots are permitted. Outside each yurt is a picnic table, fire ring, and grill for outdoor cooking and campfires. The yurts are located in campground sections 1 and 2, within walking distance of modern restrooms and showers during the camping season from April through October. During the off-season, vault toilets are available. Two yurts (A and B) are ADA accessible and pet-friendly through the Cabins for Canines program, allowing up to two dogs. The yurts provide a unique way to experience the oak-hickory forests and natural beauty of Missouri's largest state park.

From Osage Beach, take Route 134 south into Lake of the Ozarks State Park. Follow signs to the campground sections 1 and 2, where the yurts are located.
