About

Lake Malone State Park is a secluded wilderness retreat in western Kentucky, well known for its 788-acre lake and 338-acre park featuring dramatic sandstone bluffs rising above the water's edge. The campground offers 24 electric sites with varying driveway lengths from 29 to 70 feet, plus 1 primitive tent site. The park includes a central service building with flush toilets, hot showers, and laundry facilities. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The lake is stocked with largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, redear sunfish, and channel catfish, making it an angler's delight. The park features a boat ramp, dock, and marina with seasonal boat rentals available from Memorial Day to Labor Day. A sandy swimming beach provides relief on hot summer days. The 1.5-mile Laurel Trail winds through hardwood forests filled with mountain laurel, holly, dogwood, and wildflowers. The park also features six 14-foot sculptures called the Big Twigs scattered throughout the grounds, providing unique photo opportunities for families.
