About

Lake Louise State Park's group camping facilities provide organized groups with a rustic camping experience in Minnesota's Driftless Area, just 1.5 miles north of LeRoy. The park encompasses 1,100 acres of rolling terrain including hardwood forests, open meadows, and a scenic 25-acre lake created by a historic dam. Two group camps serve different group sizes: Red Oak Group Camp accommodates up to 30 people and is designed primarily for tent camping, though small RVs can access the site. Riverview Group Camp, perched on the banks above the Little Iowa River, handles larger groups of up to 50 people. Both sites feature fire rings with grills, picnic tables, primitive toilets, and access to potable water. Campers can walk to the main campground's modern shower building for restroom and shower facilities. The park offers extensive recreational opportunities including swimming, fishing, and paddling on Lake Louise, plus miles of trails for hiking and horseback riding. The Shooting Star State Trail connects to the campground area, providing paved biking opportunities.
