Lake Louise Campground

Lake Louise State Park campground is located in southeastern Minnesota near the town of Le Roy. The park surrounds a 17-acre man-made lake formed by a dam on the Upper Iowa River, offering a peaceful setting for camping, swimming, fishing, and paddling. The landscape features a mix of hardwood forest, prairie, and the scenic Upper Iowa River valley. The main campground has 20 semi-modern drive-in sites, with 11 offering electric hookups. Each site includes a fire ring with grill and picnic table. A modern shower building with flush toilets and hot water showers serves the campground. The equestrian campground provides 6 sites with vault toilets and hitching rails for horse campers. Two group camps are available: Red Oak Group Camp accommodates up to 30 people and Riverview Group Camp can host up to 50. The park connects to the paved Shooting Star State Trail for biking and features 13 miles of trails for hiking and horseback riding through open meadows and forests. Anglers can fish for largemouth bass, northern pike, and panfish. Winter activities include cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Directions

From I-90, take exit 209 and go south on US-63 for 1 mile to Le Roy. Continue south on US-63 for about 1.5 miles, then turn right onto County Road 14. Follow CR-14 west for approximately 1 mile to the park entrance.
