Lake Louise Equestrian Campground is located in Lake Louise State Park at the eastern edge of Minnesota's tallgrass prairie biome. The six-site campground is specifically designed for horse camping, with each site providing a fire ring, picnic table, tent pad, hitching rail or high line, and access to manure bins. The campground features vault toilets and drinking water on-site, with a modern shower house and restroom building shared with the main campground nearby. The equestrian area serves as the trailhead for the park's horse trail system, offering riders access to trails that meander through diverse landscapes including open meadows, lush hardwoods, savanna, and prairie habitats. The park is situated at the confluence of the Upper Iowa and Little Iowa Rivers, with the historic Lake Louise dam and mill pond providing a scenic backdrop. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, with butterflies in the meadows and various bird species throughout the park. The campground loop has been reported to be challenging for larger trailers with living quarters, so those with big rigs should plan accordingly. Riders over 16 years of age require a Minnesota Horse Pass to ride DNR-managed horse trails. The park also provides access to the paved Shooting Star State Trail for bicyclists. Located near the small town of LeRoy in southeastern Minnesota's Mower County, the park offers a quiet, relaxed camping experience away from crowds.

From Le Roy, Minnesota, head north on County Road 14 for approximately 2 miles. The entrance to Lake Louise State Park will be on your right.
