The parking area is located across State Route 374, approximately one mile from the main camp check-in, and campers must carry their gear up to half a mile on foot to reach their assigned site. Each hike-in site is equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. Pit latrines are distributed throughout the campground for restroom access, and potable water is available from a spigot at the parking area. Although the sites themselves are primitive, registered hike-in campers have access to the hot showers and laundry facilities at the main Old Man's Cave Campground. Hocking Hills State Park is renowned for its sandstone cliffs, recess caves, and waterfalls, including the iconic Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, and Cedar Falls.
