About

Lake Griffin State Park Campground sits within a 620-acre park on the shores of Lake Griffin in central Florida, approximately three miles north of Leesburg. The 40 well-shaded campsites are tucked into a mature live oak hammock, providing natural shade and a peaceful atmosphere. Each site features water and electric hookups, a picnic table, and a fire ring with grate. Seven sites are pull-through configurations suitable for larger rigs up to 40 feet, while the remaining sites are back-in. Five to seven sites offer full hookups including sewer connections. Central facilities include hot showers, flush restrooms, laundry machines, and a dump station. Three sites are ADA accessible. The park offers excellent fishing and boating access to Lake Griffin, part of the Harris Chain of Lakes. Kayak and canoe rentals are available. A nature trail loops through the oak hammock and along the lake shore, and an observation platform provides wildlife viewing opportunities.
