About

Lake Dorr Cabin is a beautifully restored rental cabin set along the south shore of Lake Dorr, one of the largest and most scenic lakes in Ocala National Forest. The two-acre property is surrounded by shady palmetto palms and subtropical vegetation with impressive views of the 1,760-acre lake. This modern, single-level cabin sleeps up to 10 guests with a queen bed in one bedroom, two sets of bunk beds in the second bedroom, and two sleeper sofas in the living room. The cabin features polished hardwood floors, large windows, and a fully accessible modern bathroom with a shower. The fully equipped kitchen includes cooking and eating utensils, microwave, coffeepot, refrigerator, and electric stove. Guests must bring their own bedding, pillows, towels, dish soap, and camping supplies. The property includes a private boat ramp, fishing dock, three canoes with life vests, picnic table, and grill. A flat section on the property can accommodate two tents for guests who wish to camp outside. Boating, skiing, jet skiing, fishing, and swimming are the most popular activities. The lake is known for its abundance of largemouth bass, crappie, and panfish. The cabin is located just over an hour from Orlando's amusement parks and about 50 miles from Daytona Beach. The site is operated by Adventure Ocala, and reservations can be made through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. No pets or animals are allowed at or in the cabin.
