About

Lake Cascade State Park encompasses Idaho's fourth-largest lake with 86 miles of shoreline at 4,828 feet elevation in Valley County. The park offers 279 individual campsites spread across 10 developed campgrounds: Blue Heron, Buttercup, Cabarton, Crown Point, Huckleberry, Poison Creek, Ridgeview, Sugarloaf, Van Wyck, and West Mountain. Site types range from primitive tent pads to full-hookup RV sites with water, electric, and sewer connections at Poison Creek and Ridgeview. Facilities include vault toilets throughout and indoor restrooms with showers at Poison Creek and Ridgeview. The park has two dump stations, multiple boat ramps with handling docks, and a marina. Group camping is available at Snowbank (up to 75 people) and Osprey Point Yurts. Van Wyck, Blue Heron, and Curlew operate first-come-first-served while other campgrounds require reservations through Idaho State Parks. The reservoir supports excellent fishing for rainbow trout, perch, coho salmon, and smallmouth bass. Winter activities include ice fishing and limited dry camping at designated boat launch parking lots. The park sits against the backdrop of the North Fork Mountain Range with the town of Cascade nearby for supplies and services.
