About

Lake Bemidji Group Campground, also known as Lavinia Group Camp, is located within Lake Bemidji State Park on the northern shore of Lake Bemidji. This group camping facility was specifically designed to accommodate both tent campers and RV users, making it ideal for family reunions, scout troops, and organized groups up to 50 people. The campground features five 50-amp electric hookups for RVs and a spacious tenting area. A large screened picnic shelter equipped with electricity provides a comfortable gathering space for meals and activities. The site includes fire rings, picnic tables, and vault toilets, with potable water available in the nearby parking area. Group campers have access to all of Lake Bemidji State Park's amenities, including the sandy swimming beach on Lake Bemidji, hiking and biking trails through northern hardwood forests and tamarack bogs, boat and canoe rentals, and year-round naturalist programs. The park's location offers excellent opportunities for fishing, birdwatching, and exploring the natural beauty of northern Minnesota.
