Lake Bemidji State Park Group Campground is located on the northern shore of 6,765-acre Lake Bemidji in northern Minnesota, approximately 7 miles north of the city of Bemidji. The park offers two distinct group camping options designed for family reunions, scout troops, and organized groups. Lavinia Group Camp is the premium option, accommodating up to 50 people. This first-of-its-kind facility includes five 50-amp electric hookups for RVs alongside a spacious tenting area. The site features a large screened picnic shelter with electricity, counter space, and four picnic tables. Additional amenities include two vault toilets, a custom-made council fire ring, two pedestal grills, and potable water available in the nearby parking area. Lavinia rents as a complete unit for $200 per night. Bass Creek Group Camp offers a more rustic tent-only experience for groups up to 30 people. The shaded site includes vault toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables, with water available at the parking lot. Both group camps provide access to all of Lake Bemidji State Park's amenities including the sandy swimming beach, marina with boat rentals, fishing pier, hiking and biking trails through northern hardwood forests and tamarack bogs, and the famous bog boardwalk.

Directions

From Bemidji, head north on County Road 21 (Bemidji Avenue) for approximately 7 miles to the park entrance. From Minneapolis/St. Paul, take Interstate 94 to Highway 10, then Highway 64 north to Highway 200, which merges into Highway 71 to Bemidji.
