Lake Bemidji Campground
Open year-round. All sites require reservations via Reserve Minnesota (866-857-2757 or online). Showers, flush toilets, and dump station are seasonal and typically close mid-October through mid-April. In winter, only one drive-in site is available with additional walk-in sites accessible after deep snow cover.
Special Weather Statement issued September 20 at 7:21AM CDT by NWS Grand Forks ND
Light winds overnight and a clear to partly cloudy sky allowed for the formation of fog, locally dense, in parts of eastern North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. The main fog areas are from Cando to Langdon to Grafton and then to Grand Forks and Cooperstown. Also fog around Bemidji to Baudette. Use caution if traveling in fog areas as visibilities are likely to change quickly. Fog will burn off by 10 am.
About
Lake Bemidji State Park Campground occupies a shaded, wooded area directly on the shores of Lake Bemidji in northern Minnesota. The 95-site campground includes 43 sites with 30-amp electrical hookups, 4-5 pull-through sites suitable for larger RVs, and 4 wheelchair-accessible campsites. Modern amenities include flush toilets, hot-water showers, potable water spigots, and an RV dump station, though the showers, flush toilets, and dump station are seasonal and close during winter months. Vault toilets remain available year-round. Free WiFi covers both the campground and visitor center. The park provides excellent lake access with a swimming beach, marina, and boat launch for exploring 6,420-acre Lake Bemidji. Anglers target walleye, northern pike, and panfish. Beyond the water, 15 miles of trails wind through old-growth pine forests, bog boardwalks, and habitat for wildlife including bald eagles and white-tailed deer. Winter visitors can cross-country ski, snowshoe, or snowmobile, though winter camping is limited to one drive-in site with additional walk-in options available after snow cover. Year-round naturalist-led programs operate from the visitor center.
Directions
From Bemidji, take US-71 north approximately 6 miles. Turn right onto County Road 20 (State Park Road NE) and follow signs to the park entrance.
