Lake Alma State Park Shelter is one of three picnic shelters available for reservation at Lake Alma State Park in Vinton County, Ohio. Situated in some of Ohio's most rugged and scenic territory, this 292-acre park offers a peaceful retreat centered around a 60-acre lake and gentle creek meandering through wooded valleys. The shelter is part of the park's extensive day-use facilities, which include seven picnic areas equipped with tables and grills. All three shelter houses feature reasonable parking and latrine access nearby. The park's natural setting provides visitors with opportunities for fishing (bass, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish), hiking on multiple trails including a paved bike path, and swimming at a designated beach area. Non-powered watercraft and boats with electric motors are permitted on the lake, with a boat launch ramp available. The park also features a campground with electric sites, ADA-accessible facilities including a shower house, flush toilets, a dump station, drinking water, and a playground. Pet-friendly areas are available, including a separate dog swim area. In winter, conditions permitting, ice skating and ice fishing are possible. Lake Alma State Park is open year-round, though some facilities may be limited during winter months.

From Columbus, take US 35 south to Chillicothe, then US 50 east to McArthur, followed by SR 93 south to Hamden, and finally SR 160 east to SR 349 south. From Cincinnati, take SR 32 east to SR 327 north into Wellston, then SR 93 north to SR 349 east. From Athens, take SR 32 west to SR 327 north into Wellston, then SR 93 north to SR 349 east.
