La Salle Lake State Recreation Area features two rental cabins on the shores of Minnesota's deepest inland lake, reaching 213 feet. Set amid red and jack pine forests approximately 35 miles north of Park Rapids, this is Minnesota's newest state recreation area. The Black Bear Guest House is a heated two-story property with three bedrooms containing four queen beds and a futon, accommodating up to 10 guests. Amenities include a full bathroom, kitchen with utensils, cable TV, wifi, emergency phone, sunroom, wooden deck, gas grill, and outdoor picnic table with benches. It operates from fishing opener weekend through Thanksgiving weekend. The Lone Wolf Cabin offers a more intimate two-bedroom experience with full bathroom and kitchen, cable TV, wifi, emergency phone, utensils, gas grill, fire ring, wooden deck, and outdoor picnic table. Located a short walk from the campground, it operates from fishing opener weekend through the first Sunday in October. Guests must bring their own towels for both properties.

Directions

From Park Rapids, head north approximately 35 miles. Turn right on South Lake Plantangenet Drive (Hubbard County Road 9) and proceed 10 miles to Becida. Continue west 6 miles; the recreation area is on the left, on the south side of the road.
