Open — Black Bear Guest House operates from the Monday prior to Memorial Day through November 30. Lone Wolf Cabin operates seasonally from fishing opener weekend through the first Sunday in October.

La Salle Lake State Recreation Area provides comfortable cabin lodging experiences in a remote forested setting near Minnesota's deepest inland lake. The Black Bear Guest House is a two-story, three-bedroom property that sleeps up to 10 guests with four queen beds and a futon, featuring an amazing view of Lake LaSalle from the deck and fire ring. The Lone Wolf Cabin offers a more intimate experience nestled back in the woods near the lake. Both cabins are fully equipped and heated. The recreation area centers around La Salle Lake, which reaches depths of 213 feet and offers excellent fishing opportunities. The property features red and jack pine forests, a coldwater stream, and access to a pristine stretch of the Mississippi River. Visitors can enjoy hiking trails around the lake, fishing from the pier, and exploring the scientific and natural area within the park. La Salle Lake State Recreation Area is fairly remote compared to other Minnesota state parks, located in Hubbard County. The park also features a campground with full hookups, clean shower facilities with laundry, a swimming beach, boat access, and picnic areas.

Directions

From Bemidji, proceed south on US Highway 71. Turn right on South Lake Plantagenet Drive or Hubbard County Road 9, and proceed 10 miles to Becida. Proceed west 6 miles; the recreation area will be on your left, on the south side of the road.
