The Four-season Suites at Itasca State Park provide year-round modern accommodations in a pristine natural setting. Two six-plex buildings contain 12 contemporary two-room suites situated near the historic Douglas Lodge area. Each suite is thoughtfully equipped with a kitchenette featuring a dorm-style refrigerator, two-burner cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker (no oven), plus a full bathroom with tub/shower combination. Accessible units feature accessible showers. These suites offer modern amenities including cable TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning in summer, and heat in winter. Adjacent units can connect via interior doors and screen porch doors, making them ideal for larger groups. Kitchen towels and bath towels are provided. Each building has an outdoor courtesy phone, and guests share a parking lot. Unlike some other Itasca lodging options, these units do not include picnic tables or fire rings. The Four-season Suites offer convenient access to Itasca State Park's attractions, including the Mississippi Headwaters, Douglas Lodge restaurant, and year-round recreational trails. The suites are available for reservation up to 120 days in advance through the Minnesota State Parks reservation system. Off-peak rates apply from November 1 through the Thursday prior to Memorial Day, with higher peak season rates from Memorial Day weekend through October 31.

Directions

The Four-Season Suites are located within Itasca State Park, near Douglas Lodge. From Park Rapids, Minnesota, take U.S. Highway 71 north for approximately 21 miles to the park entrance. Follow park signs to Douglas Lodge; the suites are situated nearby.
