Lake Ozawindib

Open for the season. Reservations must be made by contacting the park directly as group centers are not in the state park reservations system. Seasonal operation typically runs May through early October.

About

Lake Ozawindib Group Center sits behind its own gate on the shores of 151-acre Lake Ozawindib, deep within Itasca State Park. Mature pines and mixed hardwoods ring the compound at 1,621 feet elevation, creating classic Minnesota northwoods scenery. The facility is designed for organized groups up to 75 people seeking a complete group camping experience. The center features a historic log lodge building equipped with a full commercial kitchen and dining hall, ideal for preparing and serving meals to large gatherings. A modern bathhouse provides flush toilets and hot showers. Camping options include two 45-foot RV sites with 30-amp electric hookups and three designated group tent areas spread across a spacious mowed lawn. Itasca State Park, established in 1891, is Minnesota's oldest state park and home to the headwaters of the Mississippi River. Groups at Lake Ozawindib can enjoy hiking, wildlife observation, nature photography, fishing, paddling, and swimming during warmer months.
