About

Kirby Landing Campground is located on Lake Greeson, a 12-mile-long reservoir with 7,260 surface acres on the Little Missouri River in Pike County, Arkansas. The campground features over 100 campsites, each equipped with 50-amp electrical hookup, water, picnic table, ground grill, pedestal grill, and lantern pole. Modern amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, a swim beach, playground, boat ramps, and an on-site marina. The Bear Creek Cycle Trail, located within the campground, attracts off-road cycling enthusiasts, while 30 miles of walking, nature, and cycling trails provide additional recreation. Lake Greeson is recognized for its rich variety of game fish, including largemouth, striped, spotted, smallmouth, and white bass, as well as flathead and channel catfish, black and white crappie, walleye, and bluegill. The clear waters accommodate water skiing, tubing, personal watercraft, cruising, and fishing. Four marinas around the lake offer fuel, boat rentals, and supplies. The surrounding Lake Greeson Wildlife Management Area provides hunting opportunities for white-tailed deer, quail, turkey, squirrel, and rabbit. The forested shoreline features loblolly pine, shortleaf pine, sweet gum, and oak on uplands, with bottomland hardwoods along creeks and streams. Wildlife includes bald eagles, which are a winter attraction, along with wild turkey, geese, migratory waterfowl, and songbirds. Crater of Diamonds State Park is within 30 miles, and Ouachita National Forest and Hot Springs National Park are within a two-hour drive.

Directions

From Hot Springs, Arkansas, take Highway 70 west to Kirby Landing Access Road. Turn left and continue into the campground.
