About

Bear Creek Campground is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation area located on Lake Greeson in Pike County, Arkansas. The campground features 19 non-electric primitive campsites spread through a wooded setting near the lake. Each site includes a picnic table, metal fire ring with grill grate, and lantern pole. Vault toilets are located in the main loop, and potable water is available at a hydrant near the boat ramp parking area. Lake Greeson spans over 7,260 surface acres and is fed by the clear waters of the Little Missouri River. The lake is recognized for excellent fishing, with largemouth, smallmouth, spotted, striped, and white bass, along with channel and flathead catfish, crappie, walleye, and bluegill. The surrounding hills are covered in loblolly and shortleaf pine, sweet gum, and oak. The campground provides direct access to the Bear Creek Cycle Trail, a popular destination for off-road vehicle enthusiasts. A designated ORV loading/unloading area is located within the campground. Crater of Diamonds State Park, the only diamond-producing site in the world open to the public, is within a 30-mile drive.
