About
Kiptopeke State Park's yurt and bunkhouse accommodations sit along the Chesapeake Bay on Virginia's Eastern Shore. The park features one deluxe yurt with electricity, refrigerator, heat, and air conditioning that sleeps six, plus three standard yurts without power that each sleep three. The deluxe yurt offers spectacular bay views from its large wooden deck. Standard yurts feature four rocking chairs on the deck, a dining table, and outdoor amenities including a grill and fire ring with cooking grate. The bunkhouse (also called camping lodge) accommodates up to 14 guests across seven bunk beds in three rooms. It has heating and air conditioning, a refrigerator, and one electrical outlet per room. The large front deck includes picnic tables, a water spigot, and a fire ring with cooking grate. Unlike the yurts, the bunkhouse is pet-friendly. Guests must bring their own sleeping bags or linens. No cooking is permitted inside any structure. Yurts are approximately 500 feet from the bathhouse, while the bunkhouse is about 75 yards away. The park offers a boat ramp, lighted fishing pier, swimming beach, bathhouse, 5.1 miles of trails, and playground.
