About

Kiowa Park I sits along the scenic shore of Waurika Lake in Oklahoma's Great Plains, approximately six miles northwest of the town of Waurika. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operates this well-equipped campground featuring 166 individual campsites, all with electric (30 or 50 amp) and water hookups. Two group sites with picnic shelters accommodate up to 60 people each. Waurika Lake encompasses 10,100 acres of water and 12,000 acres of surrounding land. Anglers target channel and flathead catfish, largemouth bass, white bass, hybrid striper, crappie, walleye, and sunfish. Approximately 6,040 acres are managed for hunting, with white-tailed deer, quail, dove, waterfowl, and wild turkey available in season. The campground features flush restrooms with showers, a dump station, swimming beach, accessible boat ramp and dock, fish cleaning station, and playground. A park attendant is on duty from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The entrance gate is locked from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., though guests can exit during closed hours.
