About

Kiahanie Campground sits in a beautiful old-growth Douglas-fir forest with an understory of vine maple and sword fern, positioned along the banks of the North Fork of the Middle Fork Willamette Wild and Scenic River. The campground is accessed via Forest Road 19, also known as Aufderheide Drive, which forms a scenic portion of the 220-mile West Cascades Scenic Byway. Popular activities in the area include driving the scenic byway, fishing in the wild and scenic river (special regulations apply), and road cycling the paved Aufderheide Drive. The nearby North Fork Trail provides opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. The campground features vault toilets and potable water from a hand pump. This is a first-come, first-served campground with no advance reservations. Payment can be made on-site via the Recreation.gov mobile app using Scan and Pay, or with cash or check. The campground is best suited for tent camping and smaller RVs due to its forested setting.
