About

Salmon Creek Falls Campground occupies a scenic stretch of old-growth forest along Salmon Creek, approximately five miles east of Oakridge in the Willamette National Forest. The creek flows through a rocky gorge that creates two small but beautiful waterfalls and several deep pools reflecting the clear blue-green water. Wild thimbleberries and hazelnuts grow throughout the area during summer months. The campground offers 14 sites available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Each site accommodates up to 6 people, 2 vehicles, and 2 tents. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. The campground is popular with local residents and travelers seeking a quiet forest setting with easy creek access for swimming and wading.

Directions

Five miles east of Oakridge, Oregon. From the traffic light at Crestview Street and Highway 58 in Oakridge, travel north on Crestview Street over the railroad tracks for 0.2 miles. Follow East 1st Street for approximately 1.1 miles to the junction of Fish Hatchery Road, where East 1st becomes Forest Road 24 (Salmon Creek Road).
