About

Kalamazoo Campground is a small primitive campground situated along Kalamazoo Creek on the east side of the Schell Creeks in White Pine County, Nevada. The campground offers four campsites, each equipped with a picnic table, campfire ring, and BBQ pedestal, providing basic amenities in a remote natural setting. The campground serves as a base for various outdoor activities including river and stream fishing in Kalamazoo Creek, mountain biking on surrounding trails, day hiking through the Schell Creek Range, and off-highway vehicle riding on nearby forest roads. The remote location provides a quiet camping experience surrounded by the high desert and mountain landscapes characteristic of eastern Nevada. Access to the campground requires traveling approximately 32 miles from Ely via US-93, NV-486, and forest roads including Kalamazoo Road. No water is available on-site, so campers must bring their own supply. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees or reservations required.
