About

Kalamazoo Campground is a remote, primitive campground tucked along Kalamazoo Creek on the eastern slopes of the Schell Creek Range in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The campground offers four sites, each equipped with a picnic table, campfire ring, and BBQ pedestal. Vault toilets are provided, but campers must bring their own drinking water as none is available on site. The area provides access to stream fishing in Kalamazoo Creek, mountain biking, day hiking, horseback riding, and off-highway vehicle trails. The campground sits at approximately 7,500 feet elevation and is accessed via a mix of paved and unpaved forest roads. Dogs are permitted but must be kept on leash; horses and pack animals are not allowed in the campground itself.
