About

Lake View Campground sits near the shore of Cave Lake in eastern Nevada's White Pine County, offering year-round camping opportunities at 7,300 feet elevation. The campground provides level sites with fire pits, grills, picnic tables, and parking accessed via unpaved roads. Modern amenities include flush toilets and showers, though facilities may close during extremely cold conditions. The 32-acre Cave Lake reservoir is stocked with rainbow trout and home to German brown trout, providing excellent fishing from shore or boat. Motorized boats are permitted with a 5-mph speed limit. Summer activities include hiking on four developed trails, mountain biking, and swimming. Winter brings opportunities for ice fishing, skating, snowmobiling on approved roads, and cross-country skiing. The park is home to elk, mule deer, and diverse wildlife. Cave Lake State Park is located approximately 14 miles southeast of Ely off US Highway 93. The camping limit is seven consecutive days within any 30-day period. The park offers outstanding recreation in a scenic mountain setting surrounded by Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.

Directions

Located approximately 14 miles southeast of Ely, Nevada. From US Highway 93, turn onto Success Summit Road and follow signs to Cave Lake State Park. Access roads to campsites are unpaved.
