About

Located in the remote Devil's Garden Ranger District of Modoc National Forest, Reservoir F Campground provides spacious lakeside campsites surrounded by tall pines. The campground's shoreline location offers scenic lake views with early morning sun greeting campers from across the water, while the tall pines provide afternoon shade. This is a primitive camping experience where visitors must bring all necessary water for drinking, cooking, washing, and extinguishing campfires. The campground operates on a pack-in, pack-out basis with no garbage service, so campers must take all trash, fish waste, and pet waste with them when they leave. The area offers excellent opportunities for non-motorized boating, fishing, wildlife viewing, and enjoying the solitude of this less-traveled part of the Modoc National Forest. Dogs are permitted but must be kept on leash. The campground operates as first-come, first-served with no reservations and a 14-day stay limit. Access requires traveling approximately 20 miles on forest roads from the nearest highway, making this a true backcountry camping destination for those seeking a quiet, remote experience.
