About

Reservoir F Campground is a free, primitive campground in the Devil's Garden Ranger District of Modoc National Forest in northeastern California. The campsites are spacious and situated close to the shoreline, offering scenic lakeside camping with morning sun from across the reservoir and afternoon shade from tall pines. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out campground with minimal services. A vault toilet is provided, but there is no potable water or garbage service. Campers must bring sufficient water for drinking, cooking, washing, and extinguishing campfires. All trash, garbage, fish guts, and pet waste must be packed out. Dogs are allowed on leash only. Reservoir F is popular for fishing and boating. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife stocks the reservoir seasonally with trout, and a valid California fishing license is required for anglers 16 and older. Ample parking for boat trailers is available at the adjacent boating site. The campground has a 14-day stay limit.
