Open year-round. From November through March, only electric and tent sites are available as full hookup sites close for winter. Winter operations are limited with no flush restrooms, showers, or laundry, and water is available on a very limited basis. Currently no closures. Note that Red Rocks Lake within this section is designated as zebra mussel-infested.

Recent burn scars will also be especially susceptible and these include the Lee and Elk RX, Gold Mountain and Elk, Ferris, and Babylon burn scars to name a few. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Monsoonal moisture will remain across the area through Monday evening and will support thunderstorms and showers with heavy rainfall across the watch area. Southwestern Mesa County in west central Colorado... * Until 1000 PM MDT. * At 725 PM MDT, local law enforcement reported that heavy rain over the northwest side of the Turner Gulch Fire Scar Burn Scar produced mud and rock flows over Hwy-141 about 4 miles north of Gateway, mile marker 115. Between 0.8 and 1.5 inches of rain fell over the area. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar has resulted in debris flow moving through the West Creek. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the northwest side of the Turner Gulch Fire Scar Burn Scar. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. The Fruita Section is the westernmost portion of the five-section James M Robb-Colorado River State Park, situated along the Colorado River just off I-70 Exit 19. This 57-site campground offers a rare combination of riverside camping with convenient access to urban amenities, as downtown Fruita's shops, restaurants, and museums are within walking distance. The campground features 22 full hookup sites with 50-amp electrical service and 22 electric-only sites with 30-amp service, making it well-suited for RV camping. Walk-in tent sites are also available for those seeking a more traditional camping experience. Year-round amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, stand-up grills, vault restrooms, a playground, and a dump station. During the warmer months (April through October), the campground offers flush restrooms, hot showers, and coin-operated laundry facilities. The adjacent Red Rocks Lake provides fishing opportunities, though it has been designated as zebra mussel-infested, requiring mandatory boat inspections. The Fruita Section Visitor Center is located on the entrance road and provides park information daily. The campground operates year-round, though winter services (November through March) are significantly reduced. During winter months, full hookup sites are closed, leaving only electric and tent sites available. Flush restrooms, showers, and laundry are shut down, and water availability is very limited. Stays are limited to 14 days within any 28-day period.
