Indiana Dunes State Park Campground sits within one of Indiana's most iconic natural areas, where towering sand dunes meet the southern shore of Lake Michigan. The 140-site campground is arranged in two loops (East and West) among mature trees, providing shade and privacy. Every site has 50-amp electric service, a fire ring, and a picnic table. Heated restroom and shower facilities serve both loops, and a dump station is available for RV campers. The campground operates year-round, with full amenities typically available from late April through early November. During winter months, one heated restroom remains open. A seasonal camp store sells firewood, snacks, and basic supplies during summer. The park offers direct beach access via Trail 4, and the Nature Center provides programs about the area's unique ecology where arctic bearberry grows alongside prickly pear cactus. Reservations can be made through Indiana State Parks' ReserveAmerica system or by phone. The campground fills quickly during peak summer weekends, so early booking is recommended. Dogs are welcome in the campground but are not permitted on the beach.

From I-94, take Exit 26B and head north on State Road 49. Continue north approximately 3 miles to the park entrance at the end of SR 49.
