About
Tippecanoe River State Park sits on 2,761 acres in Pulaski County, four miles north of Winamac, Indiana. The park preserves a scenic stretch of the Tippecanoe River, one of the state's finest paddling and smallmouth bass fisheries. The campground offers 112 electric sites with 50-amp service spread through a wooded setting, two modern comfort stations with flush toilets and hot showers (Station A recently renovated with adjustable-temperature showers), and a dump station near the park entrance. Beyond the main electric campground, the park maintains 56 primitive equestrian sites for horse campers accessing the 14 miles of bridle trails, plus a 10-site canoe camp directly on the riverbank for paddlers (vault toilets and water spigot only). Twelve rent-a-camp cabins sleep up to six and include cots, a table, and basic cooking equipment. The park's 23-mile trail system includes 9 miles of hiking-only paths winding through bottomland forest and wetlands. The nature center offers interpretive programs, and nearby Winamac provides restaurants, fuel, and groceries. The park operates year-round, though the main campground season runs mid-May through mid-November. Reservations are available up to six months in advance through Indiana State Parks ReserveAmerica.
