About
Indian Ford Campground sits on Indian Ford Creek in the Deschutes National Forest, offering a quiet, shaded retreat in a ponderosa pine forest approximately 5.6 miles northwest of Sisters, Oregon. A small spring runs through the center of the campground, adding to its appeal as a peaceful basecamp for exploring the region. The campground has 13 standard nonelectric sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring with grill. This primitive campground provides vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. No hookups are available, and the maximum site spur length is 50 feet. Hiking and biking trails lead directly from the campground, and the nearby Sisters Wilderness offers additional recreation opportunities. The campground is conveniently located for day trips to Metolius River, Suttle Lake, and attractions near Bend including Newberry National Volcanic Monument and Lava River Cave.
