Humbug Mountain State Park offers 96 campsites in a sheltered, forested valley along Brush Creek near Port Orford on the southern Oregon coast. The campground sits at the base of Humbug Mountain, one of the highest coastal headlands in Oregon at 1,756 feet elevation. The surrounding mountains provide natural protection from cool ocean breezes, making this one of the warmest campgrounds on the Oregon coast. The campground includes approximately 35 sites with electric hookups (50/30/20 amp service) and water, 56 tent sites, 2 ADA-accessible standard sites, and 4 host sites. Maximum equipment length varies by site, with driveways up to 50 feet for back-in parking. Sites accommodate up to 8 people each. The campground shares the narrow valley floor with Highway 101, which means road noise is audible throughout much of the campground, though the natural shelter from weather elements provides a respite during storms. Visitors can access a beach trail directly from the campground and hike the popular trail to the summit of Humbug Mountain. The park's location between Brush Creek and the Pacific Ocean provides opportunities for beach exploration, hiking, and enjoying the forested coastal environment. Reservations are available through Oregon State Parks.

Directions

From Port Orford, Oregon, drive 6 miles south on U.S. Route 101 to reach Humbug Mountain State Park. The campground entrance is well-marked on the west side of the highway.
