About

Cape Blanco State Park sits at Oregon's westernmost tip, where dramatic coastal bluffs drop to the Pacific Ocean. The campground provides 52 electrical sites with water hookups and 4 full-hookup sites, all nestled in a sheltered forest setting that blocks coastal winds. A modern bathhouse offers flush toilets and hot showers. The park also features standard cabins (two pet-friendly), a hiker/biker camp, and an 8-site horse camp with corrals. Beyond camping, the park preserves the 1870 Cape Blanco Lighthouse (Oregon's oldest standing lighthouse) and the Hughes House, an 1898 Victorian home built by an Irish settler. Over eight miles of hiking trails traverse the headlands to secluded beaches, ocean overlooks, and fishing access along the Sixes River. Equestrians have seven miles of dedicated trails plus a 150-acre open riding area. The campground operates year-round with reservations available through Oregon State Parks. Some sites accommodate RVs up to 68 feet, though all are back-in only. Surface water may pool in certain sites after heavy rain. The group camp is currently closed.
