About

Horton Creek Campground sits at the base of the Eastern Sierra in Round Valley, managed by the BLM Bishop Field Office. The 49-site campground accommodates both tents and RVs up to 30 feet, with four pull-through spaces available for easier trailer maneuvering. All sites feature a fire pit, picnic table, and lantern holder. The campground operates seasonally from May through October on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Potable water is available throughout the campground, and an on-site dump station serves RV campers for a separate fee. No hookups are provided. The nearest services, fuel, and supplies are located 12 miles south in Bishop. Campers are limited to 14 consecutive days at this campground and may not exceed 28 total days per calendar year across all Bishop Field Office campgrounds without written permission. Campfires are allowed in established fire rings, though seasonal fire restrictions may prohibit fires during high fire danger periods.

Directions

Travel 8.5 miles north on U.S. Highway 395 from Bishop to Sawmill Road and turn left, take an immediate right onto South Round Valley Road and travel 3 miles. The campground is on the left.
