Pleasant Valley Campground is a county-operated facility located 6 miles northwest of Bishop, California, along the scenic Owens River adjacent to Pleasant Valley Reservoir. Managed by Inyo County Parks and Recreation, the campground offers 75 camping spaces suitable for tents and RVs, with sites that can accommodate larger recreational vehicles. The campground features vault toilets, picnic tables, grills, fire rings, and potable water, though no shower facilities or hookups are available. Open year-round, Pleasant Valley Campground provides excellent access to fishing in the Owens River, with a valid California fishing license required. The campground operates under a seasonal reservation system, with sites available for advance booking through May via ReserveAmerica, while June through October operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Site 75 is a group site that accommodates up to 36 people and 10 vehicles. The nightly rate is $14 per vehicle with an additional $5 for extra vehicles, and up to six people are allowed per standard site. Located at approximately 4,300 feet elevation in the Owens Valley with views of the surrounding mountains, the campground is positioned near the Volcanic Tablelands and provides convenient access to Bishop and the Eastern Sierra region. Automated pay stations accept credit cards and cash. Campfires are allowed in the provided fire rings.

Directions

From Bishop, drive 6 miles northwest on U.S. Highway 395. Turn north on Pleasant Valley Road and continue 1 mile to the campground.
