About

Millpond Campground occupies a scenic spot on the Owens Valley floor between the Eastern Sierra and the White Mountains. A small creek runs through the center of the campground, and sites are spread across grassy stretches beneath tree canopy. The 72 RV and tent sites offer electric and water hookups, with hot showers, flush toilets, handicapped-accessible facilities, and coin-op laundry on site. The campground is adjacent to Inyo County's Millpond Recreation Area, which includes a pond for swimming and fishing (no motorized boats), disc golf, archery, softball fields, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, hiking and mountain bike trails, and a playground. A concession stand operates within the recreation area. RV and boat storage is available year-round even when camping is closed. Operated by Brown's Campgrounds under contract with Inyo County, the campground accepts reservations online or by phone. The setting offers easy access to Bishop's services while providing a quieter alternative to campgrounds closer to town.

Directions

From Highway 395, approximately 6 miles north of Bishop, turn south on Ed Powers Road, then west on Sawmill Road to the park entrance. The campground is at 230 Sawmill Road.
