Horseneck Beach State Reservation is a 600-acre coastal park at the southern tip of Westport, Massachusetts, where the Westport River meets Buzzards Bay. The campground sits just behind the dunes, placing campers within easy walking distance of a beautiful two-mile beach known for its unique cobblestone shoreline. The campground offers 100 fully asphalted back-in campsites with sites 1-68 featuring electric hookups. Every site includes a paved parking spur, picnic table, fire ring, and grill. A modern comfort station provides flush toilets and hot showers. Additional amenities include a dump station, drinking water, playground, basketball and volleyball courts, a dishwashing station, and a boat ramp for accessing Buzzards Bay. Nine ADA-accessible campsites are available with paved surfaces and accessible paths. Pets are permitted at the campground with proof of rabies vaccination and must remain leashed, though dogs are not allowed on the beach during peak season (April 1 through September 15). The flat, coastal terrain can accommodate RVs up to 42 feet, though all sites are back-in only. Reservations are made through the Massachusetts DCR camping system.

Directions

From I-195, take Exit 16 to Route 88 South. Follow Route 88 South for 11 miles to its end. Continue following signs for Horseneck Beach. The campground entrance is located beyond the main beach parking lot on the right.
