About
Horse Creek Campground is a small, scenic facility located along Horse Creek in Wyoming's Shoshone National Forest, approximately 12 miles north of Dubois via Forest Road 285. The campground offers nine sites, each equipped with RV parking, tent pads, bear boxes for food storage, fire rings with grills, and picnic tables. Amenities include vault toilets and potable drinking water available from a hand pump. Garbage collection is provided during the operating season. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Sites cost $20 per night, payable by cash or check only. Interagency Senior/Access pass holders receive a 50% discount on the site they occupy. The area offers excellent fishing opportunities in Horse Creek and nearby streams. Food storage is mandatory per the Shoshone National Forest Food Storage Order. The campground has a 16-day stay limit and accommodates RVs and trailers up to 32 feet. The facility is not accessible for those with mobility impairments.
