About

Green River Lake Lodge is a historic log cabin perched on the shores of lower Green River Lake at 8,000 feet elevation in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest. The lodge accommodates up to 12 overnight guests or 50 for day-use events such as weddings and reunions. The master bedroom features a double bed, fireplace, and lake views, while the second bedroom has two twin bunks. Both bedrooms have attached bathrooms. A propane refrigerator and stove handle cooking needs, and wood and propane heat keep the cabin warm. The surrounding area offers exceptional recreation opportunities. The lake is restricted to small watercraft, making it ideal for canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Anglers pursue brook, cutthroat, rainbow, and Mackinaw trout. Trails into the Bridger Wilderness and Wind River Range provide access to world-class hiking and horseback riding. Winter visitors can snowmobile, cross-country ski, or ice fish once the 20-mile groomed snowmobile trail becomes the sole access route. Guests must provide their own linens, bedding, towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, and food. The lodge operates on a pack-it-out policy for all trash. Firewood is not guaranteed; guests should arrive prepared to cut their own and must restock what they use. Reservations are made exclusively through Recreation.gov no more than six months in advance, with a two-night minimum and six-night maximum stay.

Directions

From Pinedale, drive 7 miles west on US-191. Turn north onto WY-352 and continue 25 miles to the Forest boundary where the pavement ends. Continue 18 miles on the dirt road to the lodge. The dirt road is passable by 2WD in good conditions but may require 4WD depending on weather. Winter access (December through March) is by snowmobile only, approximately 20 miles on a groomed trail.
