About
Green River Lake Lodge sits on the western edge of the rugged Wind River Range and Bridger Wilderness, offering commanding views of Square Top Mountain from its lakeside location on lower Green River Lake. This rental lodge features two bedrooms and two bathrooms in a classic log cabin setting at 8,000 feet elevation. The master bedroom provides outstanding lake views, a double bed, its own fireplace, and private bathroom, while the second bedroom offers twin bunk beds and an attached bathroom. A propane refrigerator and stove are provided for meal preparation, with dining overlooking the pristine lake. During summer months, the lodge serves as a base for hiking and horseback riding into the Bridger Wilderness and Wind River Range. The lake permits small watercraft only, making it ideal for canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. A small boat launch exists on the lakeshore, though turnaround space is limited and access steep. Anglers fish for brook, cutthroat, rainbow, and Mackinaw trout. Fall and winter bring opportunities for hunting, late-season hiking, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. The lodge is available for overnight rentals for groups up to 12 guests or day-use events such as weddings, family reunions, or meetings for up to 50 guests. A nearby developed campground and trails including the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail provide additional recreation options.
