About

Honeysuckle Campground sits at the confluence of Deception Creek and the Little North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River, offering a secluded forest setting 22 miles from Coeur d'Alene. Originally renovated in 1994, the facility operates exclusively as a group reservation, combining seven individual campsites into a single booking that can accommodate up to 50 people and seven vehicles. The campground features paved roads and parking spurs, with five sites offering 30-foot spurs and two sites with 15-foot spurs. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table. Potable water is available via hand pump, and vault toilets serve the facility. Bear-resistant garbage cans are provided. Recreational opportunities include fishing in the adjacent creeks and river, hiking, ATV and side-by-side trails, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing. The remote location offers excellent bird watching and nature photography opportunities.

Directions

From Coeur d'Alene, take Fernan Lake Road #268 northeast for 11 miles (road turns to gravel after 4 miles). Continue on Forest Road #612 for 11 miles; the campground is on the left.
