About

Holly Flats Campground is a small, rustic campground located along the scenic Bald River in the Cherokee National Forest. With only 15 campsites, this remote location provides a peaceful retreat for those looking to escape more crowded areas. Each site includes basic amenities: a picnic table, camping pad, grill, and lantern post. The campground's location on the Bald River makes it an excellent base for fishing enthusiasts, with quality trout fishing opportunities right at the campground. The surrounding area offers numerous hiking opportunities through the Cherokee National Forest's diverse terrain. The remote setting means campers should come prepared, as no potable water is available on-site. Access to Holly Flats requires a drive along Forest Road 210 and Forest Road 126, with the campground approximately 20 miles from Tellico Plains. The rustic nature and remote location make this an ideal destination for experienced campers who appreciate solitude and natural surroundings.
