Hillman Ferry Campground is the premier camping destination within Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, offering 368 well-defined sites along the shores of Kentucky Lake. The campground provides an exceptional variety of site types to suit all camping styles, from basic tent sites at $16/night to full hookup RV sites with 50 amp electric, water, and sewer at $42/night. Six rustic 8-person cabins are also available for $75/night. The facility's lakefront and wooded locations provide scenic settings throughout the campground. The campground features extensive recreational facilities including a large swimming beach, two boat ramps providing direct access to Kentucky Lake, a fishing dock, archery range, ball field, disc golf course, bike trails, and hiking trails. A campfire amphitheater hosts programs during the summer season for all ages. The Outpost camp store operates April through October, offering supplies, equipment rentals including bicycles and disc golf discs, and visitor services. Modern restroom facilities with flush toilets and showers are available throughout the campground. Hillman Ferry is conveniently located along the Woodlands Scenic Trace within Land Between the Lakes, providing easy access to the recreation area's diverse attractions including the Elk & Bison Prairie, Golden Pond Planetarium & Observatory, and extensive trail networks. The campground operates seasonally and accepts reservations 2 days to 6 months in advance through the LBL reservation system or by calling 1-800-525-7077.
