About
High Cliff Canoe Campground was once a primitive camping destination in the George Washington National Forest, situated in Page County, Virginia near the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. The site provided basic camping for paddlers exploring the river corridor. The campground has been permanently closed by the U.S. Forest Service. No facilities remain operational at this location. Campers seeking canoe-accessible camping in the Lee Ranger District should explore other options such as Camp Roosevelt Recreation Area, Hawk Recreation Area, or Little Fort Campground, along with the various boat launches that provide access to the South Fork of the Shenandoah River.
